About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a software consulting and engineering professional to join our team in developing cutting-edge service monitoring solutions that leverage machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure optimal service availability for our clients across diverse technical domains.

 In this role, you will collaborate closely with our development team and client stakeholders throughout the entire development lifecycle. From understanding and defining system requirements to developing, implementing, and maintaining robust solutions, you will play a critical role in our success.

You will gain expertise in integrating streaming data (such as events, metrics, and topology) into enterprise monitoring platforms, as well as in applying ML and AI technologies to identify root causes and predict potential issues before they arise.

To thrive in this position, you’ll need to build a deep understanding of customer use cases and communication standards while continuously expanding your knowledge of new technologies and tools across IT and ICT domains. As an observability consultant you must have:

  • Previous experience in a client-facing consulting role, ideally with an IT services or consultancy business.
  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience of enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Proven skills to develop robust end-to-end integrations preferably within IT operations and enterprise monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of the observability concept.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices and industry standards such as ITIL Service Delivery processes.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written English. 

 Necessary Skills for this role:

    • Development/configuration of event management and service management rules around Network, Storage, Databases, Operating Systems and Application Performance management.
    • Experience in integrating enterprise monitoring solutions to 3rd party monitoring solutions like Splunk, OP5, Zabbix, DataDog, Prometheus, Nagios, Cisco Prime, Dynatrace etc for event.
    • Proven skills to build robust integrations for events, metrics and logs in near real-time integration architecture using: SNMP or Telemetry, JSON, Rest API.
    • Proven skills to build end-to-end observability pipelines using one of Logstash, Telegraf, Fluentd or Fluentbit.
    • Core understanding of concepts for application topology, application models and service models (CI, Relations, Impact etc).
    • Configuration of monitoring and event management policies.
    • Develop new customizations, integrations, and reports.
    • EU citizenship or resident in Sweden for past 3 years.

     Good to have skills:

      • Knowledge of monitoring solutions like for example BMC, OpenText, Splunk, SCOM, OP5, Zabbix, DataDog, Prometheus, Nagios, Cisco Prime, Dynatrace etc.
      • Experience of design, engineering and consultancy of enterprise tools including elements such as discovery, system configuration, service automation and CMDB.
      • ML and AIOps.
      • Agile WoW, SAFe, CI/CD.
